Da Hong Pao

Da Hong Pao, ”The Big Red Robe” – one of the finest rock (yancha) teas, coming directly from the cradle of all oolongs, the Wu Yi Shan mountains. On the numerous rocky cliffs of this region grow tea plants that, thanks to the local climate and stony soil, develop unique characteristics which are further enhanced by traditional processing. Due to its exceptional qualities and flavor, Da Hong Pao is often referred to as the “King of Teas.” The leaves are dark brown, often with a charcoal-like sheen.
