Traditional Flavoring Method: At a certain stage of processing, the tea is flavored with an extract (or pollen – each company or small producer has its own method, which they are very reluctant to reveal) of osmanthus flowers. Teas of this type on the market can vary greatly – they may be very expensive and high-quality, or quite cheap (using lower-quality leaves and extract). You can recognize a well-made, properly flavored tea by its ability to maintain a consistent taste and aroma across multiple infusions.
