Huang Shan Mao Feng Ye Sheng

Huang Shan Mao Feng 黄山毛峰 can be found on many lists of China’s finest and most famous teas. Its reputation precedes it, even though it has only been produced since around 1860. Today, this style of tea—much like Long Jing–type teas—is commonly produced in virtually all tea-growing regions of China. Prices of higher-grade, authentic origin tea often rise to disproportionate levels. For this reason, we did not include this tea in our selection for many years—the balance between quality and price simply was not good enough.
