Long Jing #43 龙井四十三号: the most famous of the cultivar series developed by the Tea Research Institute under the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was cloned from the Jiu Keng cultivar and is used for producing both green and red teas. Because of its early-sprouting buds, it is primarily used for early spring harvests - Ming Qian Long Jing.
