About
Ju Duo Zai is a celebrated variety representing the almond aroma type - one of the ten classic aroma profiles of Fenghuang Dancong. Its name comes from the deep, dense, and sharp serrations along the leaf edges, which resemble tiny saws. A small-arbor, medium-leaf variety, it originated from single-plant selection within the natural hybrid offspring of Fenghuang Shuixian. Renowned for its distinctive natural almond aroma and pronounced high-mountain character, it stands as a premium benchmark among Fenghuang Dancong teas.

Tea tasting
Aroma:
Signature note: Refined, enduring almond and dried fruit fragrance.
Supporting notes: Rich honey and floral layers, with a lasting sweetness in the empty cup.
Mouthfeel:
Smooth, sweet, and refreshing on the palate, with a full, rounded liquor.
High-mountain character: Pronounced sweet aftertaste and throat resonance, where alpine freshness merges with almond notes, accompanied by a lingering cool sensation.
Liquor color:
The tea soup is orange-yellow, bright, and clear, displaying a golden ring where the liquid meets the cup, a visual hallmark known as the “golden rim.” This effect is caused by light refraction through abundant theaflavins and tea colloids, indicating rich inner quality and superior texture.
Craftsmanship
Main processes
Craftsmanship
Withering: Given its serrated leaf blade structure, extra care is needed to bring out the almond aroma.
Charcoal Roasting: Using litchi charcoal, roasting is done multiple times at medium to low temperatures to shape the aroma and enhance the richness of the tea soup.
Storage recommendations
Short-term (3–6 months): Keep sealed in a cool, dry, odor-free place.
Long-term: Double-seal in an aluminum bag + tin, stored in a stable, dark, dry environment.
