Hong Xin Rou Gui is a less common but highly valued tea cultivar from the Chaozhou region, Guangdong province. The name Rou Gui (肉桂) means cinnamon—the tea was named for its characteristic aroma and flavor, reminiscent of cinnamon bark. This characteristic is the result of using a specific tea cultivar and traditional processing methods.
