An Cha 安茶: a black (dark) tea, similar to Lu An Hei Cha, but also produced outside the canonical region.
Ruo Ye 箬叶: Latin name Indocalamus tessellatus, a species of bamboo used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Belonging to the genus Indocalamus, it is native to Asia, primarily China. It is characterized by small, narrow leaves, which are often harvested and used in TCM. Young bamboo shoots are also used in cuisine and are a popular ingredient in traditional Chinese cooking. In TCM, Ruo Ye is valued for its effects on the kidneys and urinary system. This bamboo is considered cooling and slightly bitter, with properties that help strengthen the kidneys, detoxify the body, promote urination, and reduce swelling.
How to prepare?
We recommend using water with as little mineral content as possible.
First rinse the leaves with hot water, then steep for the given time after each infusion:
