Dian Hong Jin Zhen (“Golden Needles”) comes from an original, non-cultivated tree variety (known as “Qun Ji Zhong”). This tea has a deep amber infusion, its richness reminiscent of the coat of a red panda.
The clear liquor is enriched with freely floating tip hairs (trichomes), which add to the tea’s sweetness. On the nose, you can detect aromas of dried apricots and forest honey.
The tea stands out with its delicate, naturally sweet fruity taste, complemented by a woody note and a gentle finish. It is especially suitable for drinking during the colder months thanks to its warming energy. The leaves and tips, in a 2:1 ratio, display a uniform brown-orange color, indicating a high-quality oxidation process. They can be used to prepare multiple infusions.
