About

This is a mini tuo cha of Liubao tea produced in 2003 by Guangxi Wu Zhou Tea Factory (authorized to use the "Zhong Cha" trademark). Crafted using traditional pile-fermentation techniques and aged in dry storage for nearly two decades, it has fully entered the stable and mellow stage characteristic of well-aged Liubao tea. Each mini tuo weighs approximately 5.5 grams, a cleverly designed, single-serving format that offers convenience without compromising the classic aged Liubao experience.

Tea tasting
Mouthfeel
  • Mellow and smooth on entry, the liquor is full, thick, and coating, with a pronounced sweet aftertaste. Distinctive betel nut and aged notes are well-integrated into the soup, leaving a comfortable throat feel and a gentle, soothing body effect.
Aroma
  • A pure aged fragrance is blended with Liubao’s signature betel nut aroma and underpinned by a steady woody and subtle herbal character. A faint date-like sweetness may emerge in later infusions.
Liquor color
  • Rich, dense, and clear, the liquor ranges from deep amber to agate red, with a smooth, almost oily texture.

Craftsmanship
  • Core process: Traditional Liubao pile fermentation, where heat and humidity transform the leaves’ inner substances, developing its unique character.
  • Key step: After fermentation, the tea is steamed and pressed into mini tuo shape, then dried and aged.
  • Aging value: From 2003 to now, years of dry storage have smoothed away any fermentation notes, evolving into a mature, mellow, sweet, and smooth profile.

Storage recommendation
  • Environment: Cool, dry, ventilated, dark, and odor-free for long-term keeping.
  • Containers: Original box, well-sealed ceramic jar, Yixing clay can, or food-grade aluminum bag.
  • Note: No refrigeration needed. Keep away from strong odors. Check periodically to ensure stable conditions. This tea is already in an excellent drinking stage but can also be kept for further maturation.
