Lung Ching, also known as Long Jing (
龙井), is a world-famous and highly regarded tea, easily recognized by its distinctive appearance. During processing, in one of the
the earliest production steps (Sha Qing, “kill-green”), the tea leaves are hand-flattened and shaped in woks heated from below by wood fire. This unique technique gives the tea its characteristically flat leaves.
Dragon Well originates from Long Jing village (from which it takes its name) in Zhejiang Province, in the West Lake (Xi Hu) area.
