This exclusive tea does not come from a single specific cultivar. It is made up exclusively of the very first, hand-picked buds of old tea trees, which sharply burst forth with unbridled "tiger" energy after their winter rest, even before the official spring harvest. Due to strict natural conditions, the harvest lasts only a few short days a year and does not take place every year.

The tea is grown in the very heart of the birthplace of Phoenix Dan Cong teas – on Mount Wudong in Guangdong Province, at an altitude of 1,000–1,100 meters. The local microclimate, influenced by the nearby East China Sea, is characterized by year-round mists, heavy rainfall, and dramatic differences between day and night temperatures.

Centuries-old tea trees grow slowly in the nourishing mountain yellow soil, allowing them to develop a deep root system and gain a richness of inner substances. This high-mountain microclimate gives Chá Hǔ tea its characteristic "mountain character" (shan yun / 山韵): a rare balance between the fresh, piercing aromatics of winter tea and the smooth, sweet fullness of the spring harvest.

The authenticity of this terroir is further guaranteed by the official Protected Geographical Indication agreement between the EU and China.

The unique flavor profile masterfully combines the aromatics of winter tea with the smooth, honey-orchid fullness of the spring harvest. The bright, clear amber-colored liquor is created through traditional charcoal roasting.

The tea offers an intense, multi-layered aroma with top notes of candied fruit and a deep orchid scent that remains in the empty cup long after it cools. The taste is silky smooth and elegant. A brief hint of subtle bitterness is immediately replaced by pleasant salivation and a long-lasting, honey-sweet aftertaste.

After pouring hot water, you can admire the fully unfurled, supple leaves with a distinct "red edge", which is a characteristic feature of masterfully processed semi-oxidized oolongs.
