“Tea of the Six Fortresses” — a famous dark tea (hei cha 黑茶) highly esteemed among connoisseurs, yet still relatively overlooked and underappreciated in our region. This tea originates from Guangxi Province and is known for its beneficial effects on the body. On the market, one often encounters teas labeled as Liu Bao that come from other provinces. While these teas are not necessarily poor in quality, they cannot be compared to authentic Liu Bao. Genuine Liu Bao has a very distinctive flavor profile, one that does not reveal itself immediately but instead unfolds gradually over the course of drinking. Overall, this tea has a cooling effect, an exceptionally unique taste, and above all an aftertaste that is unmistakable and impossible to confuse with any other tea.
